Assistant Clubhouse Director Requisition Number 2023-7161 Overview
POSITION: Full-time, exempt salaried position
HOURS: Generally Monday – Friday, 9:30 am – 6:30 pm. Some later evening hours and weekend hours may be occasionally required.
SALARY: $50,000 annual salary, plus medical/dental/vision, long term disability insurance, life insurance, & Simple IRA benefits.
REPORTS TO: Clubhouse Director
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Assistant Director works with the Clubhouse Director to deliver an afterschool program at our main Clubhouse that is BGCC mission focused and geared towards positive youth development for members in K-6th grades.
ResponsibilitiesKEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):
Assist in hiring, training, supervising and providing support to program staff.Provide real-time coaching of staff by being present on the floor during programming hours.Work with the Director to ensure high quality and consistent delivery of programs, services and activities that prepare youth for success, promote safety, and generate fun.Develop program curriculum including establishing relationships with community groups and organizations who can provide on-site program delivery.Become fluent in youth quality systems based on Weikart’s Program Quality Assessment (PQA) principles and assist in the program evaluation process.Provide guidance and discipline in accordance with BGCC policies and guidelines Communicate with parents regarding issues concerning members.Assist with development and maintenance of annual budgets for Clubhouse.Ensure programs are operating within the Boys & Girls Club of Corvallis policies.Maintain database program and provide program content for on-line registration and activity tracking.Oversee Program registration and maintain up to date enrollment records.Prepare and maintain student files.Address parent’s needs, concerns, and questions.Participate in Club wide events and activities.Other duties as directed by the Director. QualificationsSKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
A Bachelor’s degree or higher with an emphasis in child development, education, recreation or a related field.At least one year experience in an after-school youth development program within the past 3 years (ex. YMCA, 4H, Boys & Girls Club, or other similar youth development organization).Previous supervisory experince.Excellent communication and organizational skills for continuous program improvement, record keeping and effective interactions with team members. Must maintain a current CPR/First Aid Certification, current Food Handler Permit, and attend a child abuse and neglect training. Pass a background check
