The University of Rhode Island enrolls approximately 17,000 students across its graduate and undergraduate programs and is the State’s flagship public research university, as well as the land grant and sea grant university, for the state of Rhode Island. The main campus is located in the historic village of Kingston, and the Bay Campus is located in Narragansett. Both campuses are near major beaches in a beautiful coastal community. URI is just 30 minutes from Providence, RI and within easy reach of Newport, Boston, and New York City.

BASIC FUNCTION:
Assist the Head Football Coach in all phases of an NCAA football championship sub-division program.
Duties and Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly responsible for offensive football positions. In addition to coaching and recruiting responsibilities for these positions, responsibilities include hands-on monitoring of all academic concerns for student athletes with regard to academics, eligibility, study hall supervision and grade checks.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Comply with all NCAA, University and Coastal Athletic Association policies and regulations.
Perform other duties as required.
LICENSES, TOOLS, AND EQUIPMENT:
Personal computers and printers; word processing, database management and spreadsheet software. Visio, PFF (recruiting & performance), HUDL software.
Required Qualifications REQUIRED:
1. Bachelor’s degree.
2. Minimum five years of NCAA Division 1 college coaching experience, OR Minimum eight years of NCAA Division 2 or 3 coaching experience.
3. Demonstrated success recruiting NCAA Division 1 student athletes.
4. Demonstrated strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
5. Demonstrated proficiency in written communication skills.
6. Demonstrated experience with Visio, PFF (recruiting and performance) and HUDL software.
7. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups/populations.
8. Appointment is subject to NCAA violation report clearance.
Preferred Qualifications PREFERRED:
1. Demonstrated effectiveness in coaching football, offense.
