Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to: + Assists the Head Coach with practice drills, strength and conditioning and player personnel issues + Prepares game films and reports on opposing teams + Scouts other teams and personnel Secondary Duties and Responsibilities: + Assesses talent for drafts and scouts collegiate athletes + Assists in all camps and clinics that are run by the organization + Assists the Head Coach, as needed Minimum Education and Qualifications: + Bachelors’ Degree in Sports Management or a related field + Two years of experience as an Assistant or Head Coach in the NBA, WNBA or Division 1 team + Must have previous experience working with management and team ownership groups + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills + Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook + In lieu of a Degree and previously mentioned experience, three years of experience as an Assistant or Head Coach in the NBA, WNBA or Division 1 team may be considered Competencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position: + Excellent interpersonal skills + Able to work with the players and ownership group Training Requirements: + Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the game of basketball Physical Demands and Work Environment: + Must be able to stand and sit for extended periods of time + Must be able to lift and move equipment, bags and supplies that may be in excess of 50 lbs. + Must be able to travel on behalf of the team or league + Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, requirements, or working conditions associated with this job.
