Our client, a prominent construction company in Ventura, CA, is seeking an Assistant Construction Project Manager to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in overseeing construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring that every aspect is executed efficiently and effectively. This position demands strong project management skills and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, including contractors, architects, and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise subcontractors, monitor performance, and address any issues that arise.Maintain and update project schedules using Smartsheet or similar software.Assist in managing construction budgets by tracking expenses, identifying variances, and handling RFIs.Support the achievement of project goals by establishing standards and protocols, coordinating with staff and subcontractors, and resolving design challenges.Promote a safe and secure work environment by enforcing safety standards, complying with regulations, and conducting weekly safety meetings.Stay informed about emerging construction practices and industry standards.Skills:
Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and drawings.OSHA and/or first aid and CPR certifications are a plus, but not required (training will be provided upon hiring).Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Procore, and Smartsheet.Comprehensive understanding of all construction phases, from grading to interior finishes.Ability to perform quantity surveys from plans is a plus, along with familiarity with basic estimating formats and cost centers.Schedule: Monday to Friday
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000
