Assistant Controller
Description We are offering an opportunity for an Assistant Controller in the manufacturing industry, based in Church Hill, Tennessee. This role involves overseeing financial activities within the organization, including cost accounting, auditing, and financial reporting. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage journal entries and month-end close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness. • Perform cost accounting tasks, including managing and working with Bill of Materials (BOM's). • Conduct cash forecasting, budgeting, and forecasting to optimize financial resources. • Perform physical inventory and cycle counts to maintain accurate records. • Ensure compliance with SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley regulations to maintain financial integrity. • Carry out variance analysis to identify and explain financial performance discrepancies. • Generate financial reports to provide accurate and timely financial information. • Use SAP and MAPICS for various financial operations and data management. • Utilize Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Table functions, for data analysis and reporting. • Prepare for audits by ensuring all financial records are accurate and well-organized. For immediate consideration please contact Lisa Coker at 865-370-2084 to set up an interview Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in an Assistant Controller role or similar position • Proven knowledge and experience in Auditing, Manufacturing, and Cost Accounting • Familiarity with Manufacturing Cost Accounting and Standard Cost Accounting is required • Proficiency in preparing Journal Entries and conducting Month End Close activities • Experience in Budgeting and Forecasting, including Cash Forecasting • Must have experience in Audit Prep and SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley compliance • Strong skills in Variance Analysis • Experience in managing Annual Physical Inventory and Cycle Count processes • Ability to perform Cycle Count accurately • Knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM) is necessary • Must be proficient in using ERP systems like SAP and MAPICS • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the use of VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
