**A Brief Summary of This Position:**
The Tulsa Finance team is on a transformation journey. We are looking for a forward-thinking and highly motivated individual to join our team. Reporting to the Site Controller, Tulsa, this position supports the accounting and financial reporting functions for two manufacturing sites in alignment with Divisional and Corporate accounting policies and procedures, and includes inventory valuation and control, completion of financial/management reporting, closing activities, and variance analysis. This position is responsible for providing ad hoc analysis to support financial forecasts, internal management reporting, benchmarking and monitoring of key performance indicators. The person in this role will work closely with the site personnel within assigned areas to understand and explain performance variances and trends and assist business partners with route causing performance gaps and recommending solutions to resolve.
**Essential Functions:**
+ This position reports to the Site Controller, Tulsa. The position has no direct reports
+ This position is required to have demonstrated prior experience in a manufacturing environment with an in-depth understanding of cost accounting and inventory valuation
+ Responsible for monthly financial closing tasks within assigned areas
+ Responsible for being a trusted business advisor for assigned departments/areas
+ Updating key manufacturing expense and variance data used for forecasting and monitoring of operations
+ Prepare accurate and timely financial reports that compare and analyze current results with budgeted and/or expected results and future forecast
+ Assist with cost and inventory report generation for operations management
+ Perform spend analysis for operations management; assist with reviewing and ensuring appropriate accounting for expenses
+ Assist with development of department and supervisor scorecards
+ Assist with gathering information and documenting Root Cause Counter Measures for Key Performance Indicators not meeting expectations
+ Monitor Fixed Assets; ensure Construction in Progress is complete and accurate and projects are closed timely and oversee the annual physical inventory of fixed assets
+ Actively participate in your own growth and development; Maintain appropriate professional competencies, certifications, licenses, etc.
+ Recommend and implement process improvements and participate in special projects to positively impact the team and business
+ Act as a team player, ready to perform other duties as needed and assigned to meet function and business needs
**Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):**
+ Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years relevant experience OR Associates Degree with 7+ years relevant experience OR 9+ years of relevant experience
+ 2+ years of general ledger accounting experience including account reconciliations, journal entries, and a basic understanding of internal controls
+ Proficiency in data analysis using multiple tools; interest and experience in applying technical tools to visualize and organize data
+ 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with an annual revenue base of $50M or greater
+ 3+ years of experience in cost accounting and inventory reporting and analysis
**Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications:**
+ An MBA, CPA, or graduate degree in Accounting, Business or related field
+ Industry-recognized professional certification
+ Experience using data automation and visualization tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau, ect
+ Excellent attention to detail
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and adhere to deadlines
+ Demonstrated ability to effectively analyze standard to actual cost information
+ Highly motivated with the ability to work independently
+ Experience with IFS and/or OneStream systems preferred but not required
**Working Environment and Physical Efforts:**
Work is typically performed in an office setting. The incumbent is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time, as well as talk and listen on the phone and in personal conversations or meetings. Environment is fast paced and demanding most of the time. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms while working in the office with various files and forms and while working on the computer. The employee is occasionally required to move about the office. Incumbent must utilize proper ergonomic safeguards such as monitor height and positions, keyboard location and height and proper wrists rests. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds in working with large files, binders, and computer equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
