Assistant Controller

Wyman Gordon is seeking an Assistant Controller to work alongside the Regional Controller of the Cleveland, OH, Mountain Top, PA, and Rockaway, NJ facilities. The Assistant Controller will be based out of Mountain Top, PA, and will lead accounting and finance activities at the site and support the Regional Controller with other site responsibilities as needed. The Assistant Controller will connect finance processes with operations, lead the accounting team, provide guidance to the plant staff with reporting and analysis tools, review journal entries and account reconciliations for accuracy, and assist the Controller with forecasting and budgeting.

Job Responsibilities:

Lead the monthly accounting close, review journal entries for accuracy and compliance, and complete the close in accordance with division deadlinesEnsure accuracy of financial statementsReview monthly account reconciliations and verify the balances are consistent with GAAP and PCC PolicyWork with the Controller to establish priorities and identify opportunities for improvementWork with engineering and operations to manage capital projects and complete required documentation for corporate reportingWork to streamline business processesReview inventory balances, investigate variances, create analysis tools for variances to standard, and monitor inventory for excess & obsolescencePartner with Accounting Analyst and Operations Manager to track progress of manufacturing spend and productivity targetsCreate a strong control environment by working alongside finance and non-finance personnel to ensure processes are executed in accordance with PCC policy.Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure efficient reviews of financial dataReview BOMs and Routers for accuracyAssist in annual budget processLead the annual Mountain Top physical inventory and standard cost rollComplete special projects and ad hoc analysis as requestedBe able to travel on a limited basis

Qualifications
