Assistant Controller

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Controller in Dallas, Texas. The role entails financial reporting oversight for various entities, managing accounts payable, and assisting with general ledger reconciliations. This role also involves working directly with internal systems and assisting in preparing forecasts and budgets.
Responsibilities:
• Overseeing financial reporting for various entities and shared services
• Managing and maintaining day-to-day activities related to accounts payable, cash disbursements, and fixed assets records
• Assisting with general ledger reconciliations
• Working directly with all internal systems such as Intact, Concur, ADP, Profit Sword, etc.
• Assisting in preparing forecasts and budgets
• Assisting with internal control oversight
• Preparing monthly financial statements, journal entries, and accruals
• Assisting with preparation for audits
• Ensuring compliance with and preparing reports according to US GAAP
• Undertaking additional duties and assignments as needed
Skills:
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Knowledge of ADP - Financial Services
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions
• Experience with Great Plains (GPAC)
• Understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Knowledge of Auditing and Budget Processes Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions
• Knowledge of Great Plains (GPAC)
• Ability to handle Accounting Functions
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Knowledge of Auditing procedures
• Familiarity with Budget Processes
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
• Proven work experience as an assistant controller or other similar position
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
• CPA or CMA preferred
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
