Assistant Controller
Assistant Controller, Manufacturing

Status: Exempt (Salaried)

Position Summary

The Assistant Controller role is an integral position in the financial operations team and Manufacturing support function. This role is critical to help drive strategic decision making based upon the measurement of financial data. This position is tasked to assist the Finance Director build out and provide ongoing financial metrics and data points so that business strategies can be refined and improved. The Assistant Controller must also be available to help develop custom reporting and provide fact-based guidance upon request for various business purposes. 


Core Duties and Responsibilities

Enhance cost reporting processes for the communication of monthly/quarterly actual results vs budget Analyze sales order, purchase order, and work order ERP configurations to ensure accurate and timely reportingReview and maintain accurate BOM structure costing Build relationships with Operational Partners and collaborate effectively Budget and Forecast costs. Work with Operations teams to accurately forecast financial data. Ensure accurate standard costsWork with Supply Chain and Engineering on cost-out activities to drive profitabilityMaintain Labor and OH rates, work with operations to drive productivityLeverage Business Intelligence tools to reduce manual work and automate financial reportingPrepare ad hoc reports and analysis as defined by the R&D/operations leadership team for business needsDevelop and grow strong cross-functional relationships to ensure the achievement of department and business objectives through collaboration and communicationProvide relevant, accurate, and timely financial information to management for decision makingRepresent Plug Power in a professional manner at all times and in all interactionsPerform all other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

Bachelors degree in Accounting/FinanceFive (5) or more years of related work experience including experience within manufacturing operations  Financial systems ERP experienceCost Accounting experienceDemonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detailSuperior communication skillsProficient with Microsoft Office softwareAbility to manage complex projects and multi-task effectivelyAbility to role model high standards of professionalismExcellent follow-through Must be driven and self-motivatedMust possess the highest ethical standards and a commitment to work quality

Pay Rate:

$83,900.00 - $125,800.00
