Team Overview and Job responsibilities
As a key member of the Finance and Controlling team, reporting directly to the Plant Controller, the Assistant Controller will play an essential role in overseeing plant cost accounting and financial accounting functions. You will actively participate in both finance and cross-functional projects, contributing to strategic decision-making and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
Your day to day will include but not limited to:
Support month-end close activities, including financial reporting, forecasting, and business planning.Monitor and manage manufacturing KPIs to ensure management has accurate data for strategic decisions.Maintain cost control processes to enhance financial reporting and forecasting accuracy.Assist with financial closing and forecasting activities for the facility. Analyze and resolve discrepancies in actual costs.Conduct physical inventory counts and maintain inventory records.Set up new production part numbers and ensure accurate costing by updating bills of materials.Validate and maintain fixed asset inventory, controls and procedures.Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly.Ensure accuracy of ERP transactions through analysis and internal auditing.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage spending activities, including purchase orders, receiving, and accounts payable transactions.Maintain accurate payroll data and provide thorough analysis.Build and maintain relationships with external partners, such as accounting firms and vendors.Review and improve internal process controls within the plant.Conduct Layer Process Audits related to safety and manufacturing procedures.Who are we looking for?
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.At least 2 years of experience in financial accounting, cost accounting, or manufacturing finance.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in Excel.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Clear and effective communication skills.Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.Exceptionally structured & organized.Desired qualifications:
