Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution, preferred in Finance or Business discipline Minimum of 7 years directly related work experience - standard cost system and manufacturing; preferred aerospace experience Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Howmet Fastening Systems (HFS) is seeking an Assistant Controller for our location in Torrance, CA. The Assistant Controller supports the Controller in the direct supervision of the day-to-day general accounting functions and coordinates the month-end closing process and daily/weekly monthly financial reporting. Assists in the development of financial plans and forecasts, and the analysis of operational results. Prime day-to-day responsibilities will be cost accounting, monitoring and reporting inventories, standard cost revisions, and operating the budget.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Perform as a Cost Accountant on a day-to-day basis. Assist and oversee the General Accounting functions such as fixed assets, inter-company accounting, and financial reporting. Support management financial requests for information through detailed analysis and reporting. Review and perform account reconciliations, and prepare journal entries. Perform timely and accurate financial closing and reporting. Support the operating budget process. Perform standard cost rolls. Support ad hoc Business unit/corporate requests. Assist in financial, internal, and government audits. Assist in the preparation of the monthly and quarterly review packages. Business partner to the operations leadership team
