**Job Description:**
Partner closely with the Corporate Controller to drive accounting policy alignment, reporting quality, and timeliness; participating in day-to-day accounting functions as assigned. A wide degree of initiative and latitude is expected.
**Job Duties & Responsibilities:**
+ Participate in financial statement preparation, month-end close, fixed assets, treasury, revenue recognition, budgeting, tax compliance, ad hoc reporting, and process improvements
+ Reconcile GL, post journal entries/ accruals, etc, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and external standards
+ Ensure timely completion of monthly reconciliations of all key balance sheet accounts
+ Assist in month end closing activities across accounting team
+ Participates in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
+ Prepare for and respond to internal and external audit requests
+ Preparation of ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required
+ Work cross-functionally to support strategic financial projects and business initiatives
+ Experience in treasury, ROU lease accounting, net working capital, fixed assets, accounts payable, compensation and benefits
**Skills & Qualifications:**
**Basic Qualifications**
+ MBA degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
+ Minimum of 5 years in a managerial accounting role, including experience with general ledger and financial reporting (GAAP & IFRS).
+ Minimum of 5 years managing a team of 5 or more employees, demonstrating proven leadership and communication skills with a track record of maximizing team potential.
+ Ability to analyze financial activity and inform key decision-makers.
+ Strong Excel proficiency and solid analytical skills.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience in construction accounting.
+ Experience streamlining and automating processes, with a focus on eliminating single points of failure.
+ Active CPA certification.
**Essential Job Functions:**
+ Be able to lift and carry ladders, drawings, personal computers, material, etc.
+ Be able to lift up to 50lbs.
+ Be able to spend significant time standing and walking on construction sites.
+ Be able to climb several flights of stairs or ladders throughout a typical day on a construction site.
+ Maintain a satisfactory driving record which, per Climatec’s vehicle policy, allows the individual to drive on company business.
+ Be physically able to kneel, stoop and crawl.
