Description A non-profit organization based in Newark, NJ is currently seeking an Accounting Manager to join their group on a contract to full-time basis. The Accounting Manager will report to the Controller, and will be heavily involved with grant management, grant analysis, and grant accounting responsibilities, including drafting budgets, preparing relevant financial reports, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements. Additional responsibilities including supporting routine monthly and annual close activities, supporting audit activities, analyzing grant spend, and maintaining proper internal controls. The ideal Accounting Manager will have recent experience working in the non-profit sector, and will be proficient with managing grants. Prior experience using MIP software is highly desirable, and strong Excel skills are a must!
