Job DescriptionResponsible for the development of the UH accounting team and accounting systems, insuring revenues and expenses go through appropriate approval channels, development of budgets, timely financial reporting and adherence to current Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Provide oversight to the daily operations of general and expense reimbursement functions. Review journal entries and account reconciliations for appropriate support and accuracy. Manage the preparation of month end financials, review for material variances and fluctuations to be communicated to Executive Leadership. Use financial analytics to help support financial planning and decision making. Coordinate the preparation and review of the “Prepared by Client” (PBC) schedules and the annual 990 tax return. Monitors multiple financial systems for data integrity and accuracy. Directs the implementation of processes that will create efficiencies.
Minimum Requirements
Master’s degree in related finance field or the equivalent in a combination of relevant experience and Baccalaureate degree in related area.Five - seven years’ experience finance operations with three years of supervisory experience.Strong analytical and problem solving skills to synthesize complex or diverse information and formulate effective methods and plans for using the information.Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, accounting practices, procedures and computerized systems are required.Knowledge of and comfort with participatory management approaches which involve various levels of administration and management; ability to establish, foster, and manage relationships with internal and external colleagues/peers. Excellent time management skills working with multiple competing deadlines including the ability to react and adapt to change.Strong attention to detail.Sound judgment sufficient to ensure the integrity of operations, to provide leadership in the development of teamwork across disciplines and support organizational goals and values.Excellent communication skills including a high degree of professionalism and personal presence.Working knowledge of the principles and theories of health care delivery.Advanced experience using Microsoft Excel.
