Description We are seeking an Assistant Controller for a Nonprofit client located in Dutchess County. As an Assistant Controller, you will be accountable for recording and posting financial transactions, ensuring accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and managing payroll for two organizations. Applicants can apply by sending your resume to Joe Ciavardini via LinkedIn or email me at joe.ciavardini@roberthalf Responsibilities: • Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner • Monitor and maintain customer credit records with high precision • Ensure no outstanding checks that are older than ten months • Regularly reconcile bank accounts with zero differences • Collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer to enhance the Cash-flow report • Assist in the monthly book closing process, including the preparation of journal entries • Contribute to the preparation of quarterly and annual reports for various funding sources • Update payroll and accounting databases as required • Prepare reports related to payroll deductions and ensure timely payments • Assist with special projects as needed to maintain the fiscal integrity of the agency • Use QuickBooks to ensure the accuracy of the book balance daily • Prepare step-by-step instructions for current tasks to assist with cross-training of fiscal staff. Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role within the Social Care/Services industry • Proficient in cash and bank reconciliations • Ability to generate and analyze aging reports • Skilled in preparing and reviewing trial balances • Proficiency in using QuickBooks accounting software • Experience in month-end close processes • Ability to create accurate cash flow forecasts • Experience in processing bi-weekly payroll Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
