Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Controller in the manufacturing industry, located in Napa, California. The Assistant Controller will be crucial in the preparation of financial statements, budget forecasting, and managing cash flow operations. You will also play a key role in reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close preparation, and providing support for tax filings, payroll, and AP/AR functions. Responsibilities: Financial Statements: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP. Budget Forecasting: Assist in the development and preparing of semi-annual budgets & forecasts. Cash Flow Management: Prepare and monitor cash flow statements. Reconciliations: Reconcile bank and credit card statements. Journal Entries: Prepare and post accurate and timely journal entries. Month-End Close: Lead and assist in month-end closing procedures, ensuring timely reporting. Tax Filings: File and remit quarterly sales & use tax. Payroll Support: Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with all reporting requirements. AP/AR Support: Provide backup support to the accounts payable and receivable teams as needed. Requirements Qualifications: Degreed in Accounting or related field Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and procedures. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP), QuickBooks Online, and advanced Excel skills. 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, with financial statement preparation and budgeting experience Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
