Assistant Controller

Hiring for a Assistant Control/ Finance Business Manager!

Located on the Northside of Chicago

Must Have Skills & Qualifications

•\tExperience as a Controller or similar role in a small business setting ($10-$30 million revenue)

•\tProficiency in QuickBooks software and Microsoft Office Suite.

•\tExcellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.

•\tStrong attention to detail and accuracy.

•\tAbility to work independently and as part of a team.

Description

•\tBilling: The Business Management Department does all billing for the company’s 3 Revenue Streams. The Controller position is responsible for this.

•\tAccounts Receivable: Oversee the collections process

•\tAccounts Payable: Manage the daily processing of incoming vendor invoices and the weekly process of paying vendors via ACH Funds Transfer or check

•\tPayroll: Manage and process payroll for all employees and all related transactions (expense reimbursements, Loan payments, etc.)

•\t401(k) Plan Management: Administer the company’s 401(k) Plan and all related transactions (employee enrollments, contributions, Loans, etc.)

•\tHealthcare Insurance and Employee Benefits Plan Management: Oversee the annual plans setup and enrollment process.

•\tJournal Entries: Prepare and post Journal Entries to the general ledger.

•\tPrepaid Expenses account management: The nature of our business requires extensive use of the Prepaid Expenses account in the G/L. Timely and accurate maintenance of this account is critical to the company’s financials.

•\tBank Statement Reconciliation: Ensure that the bank statements are reconciled on a timely basis.

•\tCompany Credit Cards Management: Manage and account for the company credit cards transactions on a monthly basis.

•\tCorporate Tax Returns: Coordinate with CPA firm the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns.

•\tSales & Use Tax: Prepare and file sales and use tax returns as required

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $47.00
