We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Controller with a strong background in Accounting and Financial Reporting to join our dynamic team. As an Assistant Controller, you will support the VP, Accounting in overseeing and managing the financial operations of the company. This role involves ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, assisting in budgeting, and maintaining the integrity of financial processes. The Assistant Controller also plays a key role in managing audits, internal controls, and the preparation of financial statements.

Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Accounting Operations: Support the daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger management. Internal Controls: Ensure the establishment and enforcement of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records. Audit Support: Work with external auditors during the annual audit process, ensuring that all necessary documentation and information are provided. Compliance: Monitor compliance with accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS), tax regulations, and other relevant financial reporting requirements. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements to streamline financial operations and enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting. Supervision & Training: Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and training as needed to maintain high standards of financial accuracy. Tax Compliance: Assist in ensuring the timely filing of corporate taxes and adherence to local, state, and federal tax regulations. Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to support management in decision-making, including profitability analysis, cost management, and financial planning. Other duties as assigned.
