Description We are seeking an Assistant Controller to join our client's finance team and play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement. The Assistant Controller will support the Controller in managing the accounting operations of the company, including financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and compliance. This role requires a detail-oriented and analytical professional with strong leadership skills to help drive financial accuracy and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: + Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses. + Oversee general ledger activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. + Support month-end and year-end close processes. + Manage and improve internal controls and accounting procedures. + Assist with audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance. + Work closely with other departments to ensure financial alignment with business goals. + Supervise and mentor accounting staff as needed. + Participate in financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis. + Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency. Requirements + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. + CPA or CMA preferred. + 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. + Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles. + Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP). + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools. + Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. + Strong communication and leadership abilities.
