Description We are in search of an Assistant Controller to join our team in St. Francis, Wisconsin. The role involves handling the accounting function of the company, overseeing daily accounting tasks, and ensuring the reliability of the accounting software system. Responsibilities: • Overseeing the accounting function in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) • Ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the subsidiary modules within the accounting software system • Managing daily accounting duties related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, payroll, and the general ledger • Generating precise and timely monthly and ad hoc financial statements and other necessary reports • Coordinating annual audits with independent accounting auditors, insurance auditors, and tax auditors • Preparing Annual Budget and monitoring departmental budgets • Handling all matters related to the accounting software system, including troubleshooting and performance enhancements • Communicating with related companies concerning intercompany transactions • Organizing annual physical inventory and making necessary adjustments based on verified counts • Continuously evaluating and managing consulting/outsourcing relationships, ensuring optimal resources. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is a must for the Assistant Controller role. • Prior experience with ADP - Financial Services would be a significant advantage. • Familiarity with Concur for expense management is required. • Ability to generate and analyze data using Crystal Reports is expected. • Knowledge of DCAA regulations and compliance is essential. • Comprehensive understanding of various Accounting Functions is necessary. • Experience managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is crucial. • Proficiency in Auditing procedures and practices is a significant requirement. • Experience in Billing Functions is essential for this role.
