Description Chris Preble from Robert Half is in search of an Assistant Controller to join his Utica, New York for profit industry client. In this role, you will be primarily tasked with managing financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls. You will also assist with the preparation of financial statements, budgeting, audits, and other key financial activities. This opportunity has a lot of growth to it and a really good bonus that has consistently been paid out. Responsibilities will include: • Helping to oversee the accuracy and compliance of general ledger accounting. • Engage in the month-end and year-end closing processes, which includes handling reconciliations and journal entries. • Manage the functions of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring proper recordkeeping. • Aid in budgeting, forecasting, and conducting financial analysis. • Ensure adherence to tax regulations and corporate policies. • Collaborate with external auditors during financial and regulatory audits. • Develop and maintain internal financial controls and procedures. • Maintain accurate customer credit records. Requirements • Excellent communication skills required. • Bachelors degree in Accounting or related is required.
