Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Assistant Controller in Alpharetta, Georgia. The role is within the Motor Freight Forwarder industry and will be based in a dynamic workplace environment. As an Assistant Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing accounting functions, using Accounting Software Systems, and conducting audits. Responsibilities: • Ensure the accurate and timely processing of customer credit applications • Manage and maintain comprehensive customer credit records • Respond to and resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts • Monitor customer accounts regularly and take necessary actions as required • Conduct audits and upload the required data to the audit portal • Validate Balance sheet reconciliations as part of the accounting functions • Participate in the Month End Close process, including Rate Volume variance explanations • Utilize technology for Lease accounting and manage accounting aspects related to Auto Liability and General Liability • Utilize Accounting Software Sage 100 for various accounting functions. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is mandatory • Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions is required • Experience in Auditing is essential • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field • Certification such as CPA or CMA is highly desirable • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in the Motor Freight Forwarding industry • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication and leadership abilities • High level of integrity and dependability • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines • Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
