We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Controller to join our team in Sacramento, California. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of our company's accounting operations. Responsibilities • Provide necessary training and support to the Director of Operations to alleviate some of the accounting workloads • Perform job costing tasks with a high level of accuracy and precision • Close books and prepare Flash Reports as required • Apply intermediate Excel skills to manage and analyze data • Leverage experience in the Manufacturing/Construction industry to improve cost accounting processes. Requirements • Minimum 5 years of detail-oriented experience in a similar role, preferably in the service industry • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is mandatory • Extensive knowledge and experience in Cost Accounting is required • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel • Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to supervise a team • High ethical standards and professionalism in handling confidential information • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
