Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Assistant Controller in Frisco, Texas. As an integral part of our team, you will be involved in various accounting processes, ensuring their timely and accurate execution. You will work closely with the Corporate Controller to optimize efficiencies across all areas of accounting and lead a team of competent accountants. Responsibilities: • Spearhead the accounting process, coordinating with operational accounting team members. • Oversee the month-end closing process, including account analysis and reconciliations. • Uphold compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). • Contribute to the creation of internal controls and policies in line with accounting guidelines and best practices. • Investigate and implement new accounting guidance as required. • Examine the company's accounting information, identifying and resolving inaccuracies or imbalances. • Act as the primary contact for various external audits. • Identify opportunities for and implement process improvements. • Conduct risk assessments and implement changes to the internal control structure and processes. • Engage in special projects as needed. Requirements • Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years of experience working in a similar role as an Assistant Controller. • Proficiency in GAAP Accounting is a necessary requirement for this job role. • Candidates should exhibit strong skills in Month End Close processes. • Experience in conducting Year-end Audits is a prerequisite for this position. • Familiarity with Year-end Close procedures is expected from all applicants. • The ability to prepare Year-end Financial Statements is a critical requirement for this role. • Candidates with a background in the Manufacturing industry will be given preference. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential for this job role.
