Job Summary

Assists the Controller in directing the organization and its subsidiaries in the maintenance of accounting principles, practices and procedures as it relates to reporting.  Assist in maintaining accounting records, developing, analyzing and interpreting statistical and financial information to appraise operating results in terms of costs, budgets, and trends.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
Minimum Years of Experience: 10 Years of experience with a minimum of 5 years in healthcare
Substitutable Education & Experience: None. 
Required Certifications/Licensure: CPA
Required Training: None

Essential Functions Review detailed accounting reports for sufficiency of accruals and proper reporting of payments Monitor reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts in a timely manner Maintenance and coordination of all operating volume statistics Lead in closing the books monthly Prepare quarterly bond reports Review monthly financial report templates Prepare quarterly consolidated financial statements Duties & Responsibilities Prepare annual consolidated financial statements and footnotes for auditors Review and monitor the submission of returns to federal and state agencies Selects, trains/orients and assigns staff (either directly or through subordinate manager).  Develops standards of performance, evaluates performance, and initiates or makes recommendations for personnel actions. Establish and maintain a sound working knowledge of the hospital's information systems. Maintain an optimistic and professional image, exhibiting excellent public relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers.  Show courtesy, compassion, and respect. Performs all other duties as assigned
