The Tom Wood Group in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a full-time Assistant Controller to join our team! The ideal candidate will possess strong financial and accounting skills, a keen attention to detail, along with excellent communication and leadership abilities to support our financial operations and ensure compliance with regulations.  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:   

Process and send wires and ACH paymentsPost incoming payments and manage payment entriesOversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and the general ledger activitiesPerform month-end and year-end reconciliationsPrepare journal entries, including intercompany transactionsProficiently learn and work our accounting software systemsEnsure accuracy and attention to detail in all financial activitiesEnsure compliance with internal controls, audits, and financial regulationsUtilize Excel for advanced financial analysis, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions

 

QUALIFICATIONS:   

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field, OR the equivalent experienceStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)Excellent organizational and time-management skillsAbility to learn and adapt to multiple accounting software programsStrong attention to detail and accuracy in workAbility to work independently and meet deadlines
