Job Title: Assistant Controls Engineering Manager
Job Description

The Assistant Controls Engineering Manager is a new position within the Engineering Services Division, which is experiencing rapid growth. This division provides contract engineering services to various customers, primarily focusing on PLC and Robot support. This role will support the Controls Manager and act as the Technical Lead/Supervisor for the Automation Engineer Services Team.

ResponsibilitiesUnderstand various controls architectures, hardware, and software, primarily related to PLC and robotics.Familiarize with industry standards and customer specifications.Identify the people and skillsets needed to complete projects successfully.Coordinate various work streams and interface with customers comfortably.Organize and support the team effectively.Possess basic project management skills.Conduct interviews and hire talent.Essential SkillsPLC programmingElectrical engineeringAutomation and motion controlsExperience with Siemens and Rockwell systemsRobot programming (Fanuc)Proficiency in MS Office and CAD software (AutoCAD, ePlan)Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or similar (Associates acceptable with relevant job experience)Familiarity with motion controls, automation, and roboticsWork Environment

The role is primarily on-site at the headquarters located in Whitmore Lake, which includes engineering, design, and manufacturing facilities. The position involves managing employees who support customers off-site, which may require some travel.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00
