What You Will Be Doing 

Preparing and overseeing the financial reports for the organization, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statementsEnsuring compliance with accounting principles, laws, and regulations, and ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Managing team responsible for global financial consolidation, external reporting, and complex/technical accounting, including talent management, recruitment, mentoring, and developmentBeing accountable for financial controls, compliance, and risk mitigationManaging U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulatory filings for annual and quarterly filingsDeveloping and maintaining accounting policies to comply with U.S. GAAPImplementing new accounting standards as well as disclosure and reporting requirementsSupporting business development activities, including coordination of accounting and post-acquisition integrationCoordinating and managing interaction with external auditorsAssisting in execution and documentation of financial controls over financial reporting (Sarbanes Oxley or SOX) to ensure compliance, including coordination with internal auditParticipating in SAP S4/Hana implementation

What We Are Looking For 

US – Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Accounting or Finance requiredUS – Master's degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) or MBA preferredCertified Public Accountant (CPA) required10+ years experience in accounting roles required, ideally a combination of public accounting and corporate accounting8+ years experience in an accounting leadership role requiredExperience in a global manufacturing environment preferredExpertise in U.S. GAAP, including demonstrated understanding of complex/technical accounting mattersExpertise in SEC regulationsExpertise in internal controls over financial reporting in compliance with SOXExcellent communication skillsAbility to set and execute strategic direction for teamDecision-making skills to ensure appropriate risk mitigation and outcomesAbility to understand and resolve complex problemsDetail-oriented with ability to spot errors and inconsistenciesContinuous improvement mindsetTime management and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlinesAbility to manage through both direct reports and othersAbility to partner and collaborate across the organization, including senior leadership and business group leadersBusiness acumen combined with ability to adapt and respond to changing business needs and prioritiesDemonstrates executive presence and poise and can present to senior executives and business group leaders effectively
