Job Description:

The Assistant Corporate Controller plays a crucial role in corporate financial reporting. This position supports the Corporate Controller in managing financial operations, reporting, and compliance. Key responsibilities include preparing financial statements, overseeing accounting processes, ensuring regulatory adherence, and aiding in strategic financial decisions.

ResponsibilitiesEnsure the accurate and timely preparation of SEC filings, including Forms 8-K, 10-K, 10-Q, and 11-K. This involves coordinating internal and external reviews and managing the relationship with external auditors.Oversee the accurate reporting of consolidated financial statements on a monthly basis and manage an efficient month-end close process.Maintain the accuracy of the global balance sheet by collaborating with global finance leaders, site controllers, and functional leaders.Conduct monthly balance sheet reviews, track reconciliation completion, promote balance sheet literacy, and provide guidance on technical issues.Ensure journal entries are well-supported and approved.Execute internal controls compliance, including Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, in collaboration with IT.Evaluate and implement new controls as necessary and work to mitigate or remediate control weaknesses.Conduct research on technical accounting issues and provide sound conclusions on topics such as restructuring and impairments, revenue recognition, leasing arrangements, and other complex accounting transactions.Act as the business owner of financial accounting systems (JDE, Cognos Controller, and BlackLine) and work closely with IT to ensure these systems meet business needs.Drive the implementation and acceptance of new technologies (e.g., Robotic Process Automation, PowerBI) to enhance efficiency and insight.Exemplify and enforce the company's Core Values. Focus on evaluating team potential, driving succession planning, and ensuring employees receive the necessary development and coaching to reach their full potential.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience in the related fieldPrevious experience in a management role is requiredActive CPA license is requiredSeven (7) years of related experience, with three to five (3-5) years in public accountingExtensive financial management and financial reporting experience in a publicly held organizationExperience with ERP systems: JDE, Oracle, BlackLinePay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $180000.00 - $200000.00
