KeyBank National Association is seeking an attorney to join its Investment Services and Private Banking section supporting Wealth Management, Trust, Family Wealth, Institutional Advisors and Retail Broker-Dealer areas. Candidates should have demonstrated experience and familiarity with federal and state laws and regulations relating to estate settlement, trust administration, fiduciary matters including fiduciary investment management, and applicable federal and state income, estate and gift tax laws. Knowledge of employee benefit, securities laws, and Office of the Comptroller of the Currency Regulation 9 and other banking regulations preferred but not required. The preferred location for this position is Cleveland, Ohio. The ability to work remotely may be considered for the right candidate. Provide legal advice and support for Wealth Management, Trust, Institutional Advisors and Retail Broker-Dealer areas through a variety of activities, including:
Working with lines of business and support areas on product development and bank initiatives, third party service provider agreements, client agreements, and managing outside counsel relationships (as appropriate).Drafting and reviewing client forms, disclosures and agreements.Reviewing and responding to regulatory and customer complaints.Coordinating with the Key Legal Litigation Section on related litigation matters as needed.Partnering with other legal staff and on enterprise level operational issues and projects.Reviewing and interpreting laws, rules and regulations for applicability.Performing legal research and providing summaries of findings as required or assigned.Maintaining and periodically updating standard legal documentation for line of business use.Providing legal updates to line of business managers and risk partners regarding areas of expertise as appropriate.Collaborating closely with Compliance, Risk and Control functions to ensure comprehensive and effective support and risk management advice to lines of business.Participating in and providing legal risk analysis to line of business governance committees and working groups.Otherwise performing legal work necessary to fulfill scope of responsibility.Other special projects as assigned.Responsibilities include:

Bachelor’s Degree, Juris Doctor, Qualified to Apply for State Bar Membership or Active State Bar Membership. 0-4 years experience as a lawyer.
