Peckham Inc. - Assistant Custodial Services Coordinator
POSITION SUMMARY
Supervise and provide vocational support to workers on a custodial crew. Provide guidance and supervision to a team of Environmental Services supervisors. Keep office buildings or similar buildings in a clean and orderly condition. Inspect and be responsible for multiple custodial sites. Maintain open communication with Environmental Services Manager. *Peckham is currently on a performance based cleaning schedule (this could be subject to change).
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
+ Supervise and mentor regional Environmental Services staff
+ Lead in working with the iOffice System at the Peckham facilities. This would include working with the Facility Manger/Director to ensure these items are completed.
+ Organizing deep cleaning and periodic work at needed
+ Act as a representative of Peckham while interacting with building management and building tenants
+ Train, supervise and orient Environmental Services technicians to the work place, many with disabilities
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
+ Cover multiple custodial sites
+ Maintain attendance, performance and payroll records and other records as assigned
+ Weekly travel to our Peckham facilities in Grand Rapids and Flint (this is subject to change and/or expand)
+ Compile and review case notes, program plans and all related paperwork, safety inspections and quality assurance reports from assigned areas and forward to Environmental Services Manager
+ Maintain supply inventory and request supplies when needed
+ Arrange for maintenance and repair of equipment
+ Compile receiving reports and periodic billing reports and forward to Environmental Services Manager
+ Establish and run a systematic cleaning schedule, including quality control checks
+ Collaborate with Vocational Services Specialists and staff regarding program transfers, upgrades and/or disciplinary actions
+ Collaborate with Environmental Services Document Control Specialist to assure timely transfer of information and documents
+ Perform quality assurance inspections and write reports
+ Coordinate and participate in special projects
+ Utilize a teamwork approach for all projects
+ Provide physical assistance in completing tasks
+ Emphasize security and safety at building sites
+ Attend required educational trainings and meetings
+ Promote Peckham’s vision, value, culture, and commitment to excellent customer services to all team members, staff, customers and stakeholders.
+ Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
+ Other related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job does have supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
+ Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years related experience and/or training
+ Or 6-8 years of related experience in lieu of degree.
+ This position requires passing and maintaining security background checks.
+ Weekly travel required.
+ Must have access to reliable transportation.
+ Must maintain an unrestricted driver’s license and possess a clear driving record (in accordance with company insurance policy) to drive the company vehicle.
