Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Assistant Director, Academic Operations, Executive Programs - Boca Raton, FL.

The FAU College of Business is one of the largest AACSB-accredited colleges of business in the United States with more than 8,000 students. The Assistant Director, Academic Operations serves as a technical point-of-contact for assigned areas and assists with ensuring data audits, integrity, testing of system changes, report writing/running as well as scheduling and analyzing of data all process efficiently and effectively. The incumbent is responsible for proving program, system and business analysis support. This role requires active participation and management of business systems, administration, and support activities. The incumbent will be required to identify, define, document and validate information with new and existing systems.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Review, analyze and triage application issues and cases pertaining to student records or schedule creation.

Create and maintain detailed documentation of ongoing projects such as schedule building, tracking of ExecEd 360, etc.

Provides training and documentation (presentations, academic and program calendars, info hubs, etc.) for Executive Education team members.

Monitors course enrollment to identify potential issues prior to the start of the term/semester.

Recommends changes in development, maintenance, and system standards.

Maintain ongoing communication and rapport with the leadership regarding course enrollments, scheduling needs and pain points.

Improves productivity through the application of technology and data maintenance with programs such as Banner, LeapAhead, Excel, PowerBI and OnBase.

Conducts data collection to support Executive Education initiatives.

Creates formal advising presentations and supporting documents for distribution to students using Canvas and Adobe Creative Cloud.

Participates in continuing quality improvement activities and professional development.

Facilitates Owl Card requests and distribution within the department.

Update and maintain Canvas Info Hubs for all programs.

Provide support during academic events such as new student orientation, graduation, networking events, etc.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience; or bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience required.

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Highly Organized

Ability to multi-task under pressure and prioritize workload

Critical Thinking - Proficient skills in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

Salary:

$80,000 to $90,000 per year.
