Assistant Director, Engineering - Workplace Benefits
What You'll Do We’re looking for an Assistant Director of Engineering to join our Workplace Benefits Sales team. In this role, you’ll lead software engineering teams on one of our highest priority product families to foster a high performing culture. You will partner with business stakeholders, product managers, and technology peers to ensure the modernization of our quoting and onboarding capabilities are aligned with business need and technology strategy. Who You Are Bachelor's degree (preference in a computer science, technology, engineering or math-related field) or equivalent experience 8 or more years of related experience in an enterprise environment Excellent leadership, problem solving, analytical, time management, change management, delegation, and decision making skills Experience supporting engineers with business problems, solutioning architectural issues and planning by engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels Adaptable, flexible, innovative, influential, collaborative, and have the ability to learn from experiences and setbacks and make changes based on those experiences Skills That Will Help You Stand Out Experience in a technology leadership role, leading direct reports as well as leaders AWS Solutions architecture or engineering background Leading modernization efforts Experience developing and driving engineering strategies to align with organizational goals, ensuring scalable and innovative solutions Salary Range Information Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly) $137000 - $185000 / year Time Off Program Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided. Pension Eligible Yes Additional Information Work Environments This role offers an in-office and hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek) work arrangement in Des Moines, IA.
