Assistant Director, Executive Education
Job Description: The Ohio University College of Business invites applications for one full-time Assistant Director of Executive Education in Graduate & Professional Programs. The position is based on campus in beautiful Athens, Ohio. The Assistant Director of Program Operations and Planning is a full-time administrative professional who collaboratively manages operational, planning and financial aspects for College of Business Executive Education reporting to the Assistant Dean, Graduate and Professional Programs. The Assistant Director is responsible for the overall operational delivery and system wide planning and quality for Executive Education programs including LAIOB , IBC , CapGemini and Sogeti programs. The Assistant Director is accountable with the respective Program Directors for advancing existing program platforms, while growing new client relationships and business opportunities. Primary Accountabilities Client Relationships and Communication: Lead the communication for program planning and execution of on-site Executive Education Programs. Manage communications with clients for program planning purposes, as well as communications to relevant faculty, and Executive Education leadership for multiple programs being planned simultaneously. Some communication requires international relationships, and use of translator services for communication success. Manage communication with both clients and leadership when Executive Education programs are running onsite. Ultimately work with Program Directors, Faculty, and Clients to ensure Executive Program success. Program Support and Coordination: Manage implementation of Executive Education Programs which includes working with Program Directors to set the schedule and faculty for each program; speaker coordination; collecting program files from faculty; and setting up feedback surveys and analyzing results. Provide high-level service and support to Executive Education Programs, which includes coordination with clients in both program planning and program execution. Manage incoming external speakers and panelists. Onsite management with clients in coordination with the Program Directors during program execution. This may also include new Executive Education program offerings, both onsite and virtual. New Business Development: Assist with efforts to increase programs awareness and develop connections with potential new clients. This will include market research, initial reach-out, gathering client needs and requirements, initial budget, and developing program ideas in conjunction both clients and our executive education team. Program Design and Brand Coordination: Support the design and brand coordination working in collaboration with the College of Business Marketing and Communications Team for program branding, website, and program materials. Develop audience-specific content to effectively leverage dedicated marketing strategies, including social media. Direct and lead operational aspects of new program launches, student servicesprocesses for partner programs as well as existing Executive Programs. On-going problem solving and troubleshooting to proactively identify and mitigate areas of potential risk and resolve issues related to maintaining efficient program operations and program success. Document Creation and Management: Create and manage polished, professional documents for Executive Education Programs. This includes collecting files from Faculty and polishing the design, as needed. Creation of professional looking schedules and program documents for distribution to clients. Creation of certificates of completion, both digital and printed, for Executive Education Programs. Creation and Management of know- before-you-go documents for international clients in advance of program execution. Budget Management: Manage aggregate operating budgets for all programs while assisting in preparation of annual operational budget and other financial documents for Executive Education Programs. Work with Program Directors and Event Staff to ensure Programs can be delivered within Budget and within signed contract terms. Review and follow up on discrepancies in standard expenditures.
