Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University, in Boca Raton, Florida is seeking an Assistant Director for the International Student Services Department, Academic Affairs, with duties and responsibilities to include—but not be limited to—conducting foreign academic transcript evaluations; facilitating positive and effective academic and cultural adjustment experiences for international students; and teaching courses on academic success and adjustment for first-year undergraduate and graduate international students on success strategies with a focus on academic, social, and cultural norms in an effort to aid in the transition into the U.S. academic systems and culture.

Remote work/telecommuting is permitted.

Position requires a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Higher Education Administration, or a closely related field. 

Position also requires at least two years of experience in a higher education setting working with non-U.S. student populations. Of the required experience, at least one year must have been with foreign credentials evaluations and at least one year must have been in instructing, mentoring, or facilitating workshops/presentations for students with international and multilingual backgrounds.
