Description: MBA Admissions seeks an Assistant Director to support the HBS mission of educating leaders who make a difference in the world. The Assistant Director manages two team members and works to convert offers to admitted students into accepted offers. We seek someone with good judgement, strong communication, and interpersonal skills to play a key role on a high-performing team. This person will also serve as a member of the MBA Admissions Board, reading applications and interviewing candidates. This role will report to the Director, Marketing, MBA Admissions. Responsibilities include: + Oversee all admissions efforts, including: + Manage two full-time employees and manage the work of several independent contractors + Develop program objectives, targets, tactics, and metrics to drive candidate yield success + Direct planning and execution of in-person and virtual yield events + Oversee relationship management process to ensure that all admitted students receive the information needed to decide on their offer + Oversee inventory for admit and interviewee events + Lead efforts to yield the 2+2 cohort and collaborate with the Operations team to sustain engagement throughout the 2–4-year deferral period o Manage yield budget + Lead strategy and execution of high-quality yield events + Plan and execute Admitted Students Welcome twice per application season + Plan and execute admitted student community building events in select cities around the world + Set agendas, craft materials and lead yield-operations meetings + Lead strategy and execution of candidate interview experience + Oversee on-campus, off-campus and virtual interview experiences + Oversee alumni/interviewee matching program + Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships + Collaborate with HBS Alumni Relations on programming for interviewees and admitted students + Partner with students, alumni, and HBS Global Research Centers to support the yield process + Assist in Marketing team responsibilities + Represent MBA Admissions at a variety of on and off-campus marketing events, domestically and internationally + Help support marketing team-wide events and activities such as Outreach events, conference attendance, internal team building, etc. + Oversee outreach for an assigned key applicant pool segment, including but not limited to messaging, strategy, and engagement initiatives + Candidate Evaluation + Develop into a full Admissions Board Member; training and onboarding to take place over several Evaluation cycles + Serve as member of the MBA Interview Board for MBA and 2+2 Responsible for other duties as assigned.Commitment to Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging:Harvard University views equity, inclusion, and belonging as the pathway to achieving inclusive excellence and fostering a campus culture where everyone can thrive.
