The Assistant Director of the Office of Faculty Support at Georgetown Law manages a team of administrative support professionals across the Law Center. These individuals serve to provide a wide range of efficient and comprehensive support to the Law Center Faculty. The Assistant Director works closely with Faculty to determine their academic and administrative needs and oversees support assignments to ensure an equitable distribution of work. The incumbent will uphold compliance standards and build relevant policies and procedures that liaise with several departments throughout the Law Center to ensure adequate measures are set in place for support facilitation. They will also have substantial training and development responsibilities and oversee the design and implementation of campus wide service enhancements. Duties include but are not limited to:
Oversee task delegation and supervision for a team of 11-14 faculty assistants and support personnel.
Ensure that faculty assistants are trained and proficient in instructional technologies such as Canvas.
Oversee departmental cost center and reconcile budget.
Work Interactions
The Assistant Director will report directly to the Director of the Office of Faculty Support. S/he will interact with all members of the Law Center community and is expected to meet regularly with Law Center faculty. S/he must maintain productive working relationships with administrators throughout the campus and ensure that the department is fully responsive to Faculty needs.
Requirements and Qualifications
A High School Diploma and 5-7 years of prior experience in administrative support and/or customer service roles
Experience with the practical application of routine office practices and techniques
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including experience working with a wide range of individuals
Past experience with and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Adobe
Must possess the ability to gain proficiency with other office and campus technologies (including GMS/Workday and Canvas)
Preferred Requirements and Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree and previous experience in a legal field or higher education administration – particularly in a Law School environment
Experience with Georgetown campus technologies (including GMS/Workday and Canvas)
Familiarity with Georgetown University Law Center Administrative Support practices and policies

Pay Range:
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$47,586.00 - $87,558.13Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
