We invite you to apply for a new position as our Assistant Director for Strategic Initiatives. You will partner with academic and administrative leaders and play a key role in supporting the implementation and evaluation of college strategic initiatives. The Assistant Director will work closely with LSA faculty, students, staff, and other members of the LSA. You will report to the Director of Strategic Initiatives and work from our office in the LSA building in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
We are looking for candidates willing to work a hybrid work schedule with four days onsite and the opportunity for one day of remote work per week. The target salary for this position is between $80K - $102K. Candidates with a history of exceeding job performance expectations may qualify for a higher salary.
**What You'll Do**
+ (30%) - With general supervision from the LSA Director for Strategic Initiatives, conduct research, analyze data, and facilitate discussions with key stakeholders to support the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of short- and long-range goals.
+ (30%) - Collaborate with departments and teams in implementing strategic initiatives, including developing project plans, tracking progress, and identifying potential roadblocks. Help develop and implement college-wide policies, programs, and initiatives.
+ (10%) - Lead projects assigned by the Director or other senior LSA leaders related to key initiatives, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards.
+ (10%) - Evaluate the performance of strategic initiatives, track key outcomes, and prepare reports for leadership to assess progress.
+ (10%) - Conduct data analyses and research to inform college decision-making, identify trends, and determine the effectiveness of initiatives. Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and other communication materials related to the strategic plan and its implementation.
+ (5%) - Facilitate communication and collaboration with people within and outside of LSA to ensure alignment and support for LSAs mission and vision.
+ (5%) - Identify and recommend operational improvements to better support the college's strategic objectives.

**Required Qualifications***
+ Bachelor degree in business administration, public policy, higher education administration, or a related academic discipline.
+ At least 5 years of work experience in strategic planning, project management, or related experience.
+ Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
+ Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
+ Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders (for example, students, faculty, staff).
+ Proficiency in data analysis and use of visualization tools.
+ Demonstrated experience developing, managing, and implementing large-scale projects and initiatives.
+ Proven ability to maintain the strictest level of confidentiality and use excellent judgment on a variety of sensitive issues.
+ Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through on assigned projects.
**Desired Qualifications***
+ Graduate degree in a directly relevant academic discipline.
+ Higher education industry experience.
