In this role, you will be responsible for administering financial aid to students in the College of Medicine, providing student advising and counseling, and supervising a team of Financial Aid Coordinators. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Financial Aid Management + Award and monitor funds management of Student Financial Aid administered grant and federal Title VII accounts to ensure maximum utilization of funds allocated specifically to College of Medicine students. + Provide financial aid information in accordance with FERPA and university privacy policies as requested by college deans or development offices for reporting purposes. + Review reports of weekly loan processing output for College of Medicine students to ensure accuracy of loan records prior to transmittal to the federal processing system. + Assist the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships loan certification staff in testing of federal loan start-up processing. + Assist in the awarding of institutionally awarded financial aid programs administered by the College of Medicine. + Provide financial need information to the Dean's Office for scholarship awarding purposes. Leadership and Supervision + Participate as a member of the Financial Aid Committee for the College of Medicine. + Develop annual medical financial aid cost of attendance budgets based on yearly program costs for use in the automated budget program for financial aid awarding purposes. + As a member of the Student Financial Aid and Scholarships leadership team, participate in strategic planning and policy development to drive departmental goals and excellence. + Hire, train, and supervise Financial Aid Coordinators in the colleges of Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, and Public Health and Health Professions. + Establish performance goals and measures to evaluate success of assigned areas. + Provide guidance and direction to staff assigned to the areas. Other Duties + Meet with College of Medicine staff to review and complete semesterly Satisfactory Academic Progress reviews for program students. + Travel occasionally in relation to financial aid presentations, professional development workshops, etc. + Perform other duties as assigned by area leadership. This position is located at the University of Florida's main campus in Gainesville, FL.
