Log back in Assistant Director, Study Away Student Outreach Posting Number 2025-14449 Posted Date 4 hours ago(2/11/2025 10:22 AM) Location : Location US-NY-New York Hybrid Remote Work Classification Hybrid: 60% to 80% Onsite Department Global Programs Student Support and Services School/Division Global Programs (WS1750) Compensation Grade Band 53 Union N/A FT/PT Full-Time Category Student Services/Athletics Position Summary The Global Programs Office, Assistant Director for Study Away Outreach contributes to the vision of the Office of Global Programs by promoting office initiatives and NYU study away opportunities to prospective students, their families, faculty/administration, and the international education community at large. The assistant director, serving as a communications project producer, will be a multidisciplinary communications professional, advancing efforts across promotional approaches: in-person and remote events, print and digital marketing, direct messaging, web and social media content creation and design. The position will execute assigned projects to realize the annual media plan. The AD will be a skilled communicator and project manager, with a creative approach, attention to detail, ability to complete numerous projects on deadline. This role is responsible for but not limited to providing study away admission and enrollment, academic, financial aid, cultural awareness, travel planning, and personal advising to students; representing and marketing NYU Global Programs to potential students at on-campus and off-campus events; cultivating relationships with students, parents and college advisors to encourage a positive response and interest in enrolling at NYU Global Programs; reviewing and evaluating students' admission applications to achieve University, geographic, and departmental enrollment targets by encouraging qualified students to apply; supporting the University’s emergency response protocol; taking appropriate action(s) to alleviate student problems, and contributing as an integral member of the Global Programs Outreach, Enrollment, and Student Support groups. Qualifications Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree

Required Experience:
3+ years 3-5 years relevant experience including executing large and small-scale events, writing/editing publications and web pages and/or high-profile stand-alone pieces, advertising, marketing, and promotional writing. Comfort working with social media, digital content production, and web design.

Preferred Experience:
7+ years

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent event organization Verbal/written communication skills. Proven creative/design sensibilities Ability to work collaboratively with a small team Ability to prioritize, balance, and deliver quality work effectively. Strong writing and editing skills
Additional Information In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $75,000.00 to USD $95,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
