Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Assistant Director, Surgery and Anesthesia – Hospital Operations – Mineola.

In this role, the successful candidate Reports directly to the Administrative Director/Administrator handling all issues related to the running of the Department of Anesthesiology Department of Surgery and IBD Center

Job Responsibilities:

Assist Administrative Director with all Department of Surgery Department of Anesthesiology and IBD Center initiatives and departmental goals ndash; including regulatory visits for Level I Trauma Center Bariatrics IBD nbsp;Wound Care HBO; Development of Peds Level II Trauma Center
Collaborates with Patient Experience Office to manage and reconcile patient concerns and complaints 
Oversees payroll of Anesthesiology NPs CRNAs techs and staff
Assists in developing operational budget for Surgery areas Anesthesiology and IBD
Assists in preparing reports for capital budget equipment and staffing requests
Reconciles monthly Payroll and Expenses
Responsible for all facilities management
Supports Surgery Anesthesiology IBD attendings and CRNAs with all billing related issues
Liaison to all corporate offices e g Purchasing Accounts Payable Payroll etc 
Reviews all Accounts Payable submissions to insure they meet Departmental and School regulations
Supervision of Staff throughout the departments: Anesthesia / Surgery / IBD 
Maintains vacation sick and personal day records for all faculty and staff
Prepares daily calendar of available clinicians to enable the scheduling of the OR
Supports the Anesthesiologist Site Director/IBD Co Director/Department Chairs/Admin Directors for all administrative matters within the Departments at NYULI
Demonstrate knowledge of the organization rsquo;s service standards and incorporate them into the performance of duties 
Supervise administrative staff including managing schedules maintaining personnel records assisting with annual performance reviews etc Train staff on new procedures/processes; orient and train new staff for the IBDC 
Manage and oversee inpatient clinical pathway for IBD Center
Coordinate relationships with offices of referring physicians to ensure all necessary requirements are fulfilled including authorizations referrals or clinical documents 
 Liaise with Revenue Cycle and coding teams to ensure proper capture of charges for appointments Liaise with professional and hospital billing counterparts to coordinate timely and accurate billing process
Assist with departmental reporting data tracking or analytical projects as needed 
Assist with development and maintenance of Operating Manual for all administrative processes 
Participate in scheduled meetings relevant to scope of responsibilities 
Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a 8-10 years of working in healthcare Bachelor’s degree required

Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree RN Certifications

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $92,710.43 – $154,517.38 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
