Position Description Summary

Position Details: 

Job Title  :Assistant Director - EDS

Job purpose                                                                                                                

The Assistant Director Data Engineering role will involve creating and maintaining a sophisticated set of ETL data pipelines that take raw data from various sources and transform this into data that can be used for analysis and data science projects. Strong skills and experience in using advanced SQL code and procedures in a production environment are essential to the role, as is the ability to project manage change across these pipelines and coordination with stakeholders to ensure inflows and outflows of data where there are dependencies. Experience of taking manual workflows and streamlining these into an automated process will be advantageous, as will knowledge of best in class database structures and development practices which the role will be required to maintain.


Specific Role requirements

Must have at least 10 years of deep experience in information analysis and reporting in descriptive and diagnostic streams Capability to clearly understand and articulate a business intelligence problem and lead multiple projects independently.


Client Responsibilities:

Need to work as the main PoC for the clients in relation to project execution. Provide product and design level technical best practices Interface and communicate with the onsite coordinators Develop analytical strategies for business using model results of predictive modelling, time series forecasting, clustering and segmentation of customers Documenting and presenting work to the client. Proactively recommending and influencing changes in business decision-making. Completion of assigned tasks on time and regular status reporting to the lead


Experience and Qualification:

B Tech/Masters or Ph. D. degree in either Economics (econometrics) or Statistics or MBA (with strong quantitative background) or Bachelors in Engineering with strong quantitative background and adequate industry experience Should be at least around 13 years of experience in Analytics Should have understanding and experience of analytics best practices. Excellent business communication, Consulting, Quality process skills Must be a team player and team leader

Additional Skills requirements

Experience in Insurance/ Banking/ Finance

Prior Client facing skills Prior onsite experience is a plus Should have engaged in client interactions, participating in business workshops
