**29175BR** **Job Title:** Assistant Director of Administration **Department:** Achievement & Assessment Inst **Primary Campus:** University of Kansas Lawrence Campus **Job Description:** 40% - Research Administration and Fiscal Oversight + Provide support to the center director and project directors by advising on allowability of expenditures, adherence to grant-specific, university, state, and federal regulations, and institutional policies. + Attend budget meetings with the designated Grant Coordinator. Serve as the primary contact for CEOP for financial and administration matters with other KU units, including the SSC, KU Fiscal Affairs, and the KU Center for Research, Inc. + Manage non-sponsored funding, including state, F&A, Endowment funding, and fee-for-service accounts. + Work with the Director of CEOP to manage and monitor the budget and ensure sound financial controls are in place. + Ensure long-term staffing plans are sustainable across projects based on available funding. + Provide training to staff on research and financial administration topics. 40% - Management + Provide support to the Director of CEOP, as well as to each of the project directors, in various aspects of project management, including efficient use of available resources, staffing, and federal reporting requirements and compliance. + Coordinate the HR activities of the center, including managing funding distributions, drafting position descriptions, submitting requests to AAI HR and/or KU HR, requesting changes to existing positions, providing guidance to CEOP staff about HR policies, and coordinating the completion of required trainings and tasks. + Develop, maintain, and disseminate center-wide policies and procedures. Bachelor's degree, plus five years of professional related experience 2. One-year supervisory experience 3. Five years of research administration experience 4. This position will provide fiscal oversight, strategic planning, and management of CEOP. The Assistant Director of Administration will ensure that program objectives are met through the efficient assignment of available resources, identification of deficiencies, and programmatic planning. The position is grant-funded and reports to the Director of CEOP.
