DescriptionThe Goizueta Business School is in search of an Assistant Director of Admission (Specialized Masters Programs) to join the Graduate Admissions office at Goizueta. This full-time role is ideal for a candidate with a background in college admissions or other recruiting roles. Strong candidates will possess strong public speaking skills, communications skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Applicants for the role should be passionate about supporting early-career, college-aged, and international candidates.
The Assistant Director will be responsible for candidate evaluation, recruitment, and yield as well as program education and promotion, and candidate support for graduate students in our Specialized Masters Programs. These programs include the Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA), the Master of Finance (MF), the Master in Management (MIM) and the Master in Business for Veterans (MBV) programs. This role requires an individual with strong organizational and time management skills, who can successfully build relationships with prospective students to assist them in meeting their higher education goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists in developing, implementing and evaluating recruitment strategies for a professional school.Attends recruitment functions and maintains contact with prospective students, candidates and recruiting contacts.May coordinate admission programs for one or more student groups such as prospects, already accepted prospects, alumni, internationals, or transfers.Reviews applications for admission, provides comments, and assigns an admissions rating to each application.Recommends which applicants to accept, refer, reject, or put on the waiting list.May participate in coordinating alumni volunteer activities to enhance student recruitment.Assists in planning and implementing special student recruitment events.Conducts information sessions and tours for visiting students and parents.Answers questions concerning admission, housing, financial aid, academic departments and the university in general.Performs related responsibilities as required.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree and three years of college admission or recruiting experience in a university or business environment or related experience.A valid Georgia driver's license and an insurable driving record.Effective public speaking skills.ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:
Supports admissions strategy throughout the consumer journey for the Specialized Masters Programs (Master of Science of Business Analytics (MSBA), Master of Finance (MF), Master in Management (MiM), and Master of Business for Veterans (MBV), including all aspects of recruitment, evaluation, and yield.Utilizes application management & CRM system (Slate) to manage and track candidate engagement, evaluate applications, create and use reports to make data-informed decisions, and communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment cycle.Proactively initiates interactions with candidates to establish relationships and influence candidates to move through the admissions funnel to matriculation.Provides timely follow-through on communication plans by initiating & answering correspondence and inquiries from all candidates.Participates in evaluating candidates by reading applications, conducting interviews, completing evaluation forms as directed, participating in admission committee meetings, recommending scholarships, and other related activities.Travel required to attend local and non-local recruitment functions: domestic and international, some early morning, evenings, and weekends.Delivers presentations, in person and online, for diverse groups of candidates.Maintains working relationships with other school departments, working closely with the Program Offices, the Graduate Career Management Center, and other cross-functional partners.Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations.Collaborates internally with the Graduate Admissions operations team and communication team to develop website, print material, and social media strategies to achieve admission goals.Represents the School with the highest degree of professionalism through an array of outreach programs and activities.COMPETENCIES AND RELATED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
