The Assistant Director of Broadcasting will play a vital role within Dartmouth Athletics that drives the department’s mission to excel in all forms of digital media by spearheading innovative broadcasting and multimedia strategies. This position will be responsible for elevating the visibility, engagement, and fan experience for Dartmouth Athletics through broadcasting excellence, cutting-edge multimedia content, and innovative strategies. This role will support the Assistant Athletic Director of Broadcasting and Multimedia Strategy to carry out all broadcasting initiatives.
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities
Bachelor’s degree in video production or related field. 1-2 years of experience in a video production environment focused on sports. Proficient with non-linear editing and design software, particularly Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator), Final Cut Pro or other similar video editing program. Strong familiarity with a variety of video cameras and supporting equipment, specifically NewTek Tricaster, 3Play and AJT Livebook Graphics. Excellent creative and organizational skills. Self-starter with the ability to work effectively with a broad range of staff members and off-campus partners. Ability to identify, analyze and assess technical issues and needs. Must be able to work nights and weekends. Ability to multitask and work under pressurePreferred Qualifications
Experience in a video production environment in college athletics. Master’s degree in position related field of study.
