Reporting to the Vice Dean of the School of Medicine, the Office of Academic Affairs (OAA) comprises 8 faculty associate deans and 25 staff members serving a total population of approximately 5,000. The primary mission of OAA is to serve as a resource in preserving and enhancing the excellence of the School of Medicine through the appointment, reappointment, promotion and retention of a distinguished and diverse faculty.
The Assistant Director of Faculty Relations role will oversee strategic program development, faculty support, investigations, and advocacy efforts to ensure a supporting and compliant environment for the Stanford Medicine faculty members. Reporting to the Director of Faculty Relations, the Assistant Director of Faculty Relations core duties include, but are not limited to:

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Juris Doctorate degreeExperienced in academic and faculty affairs issues. Knowledge of legal considerations and regulatory processes affecting faculty employment. Understanding and experience in investigations, employee relations, conflict resolution, and organizational behavior. Comprehensive knowledge of university governance and grievance processes.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
Bachelor's degree and eight years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
