Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Educator

The Triboro Center is actively seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as the ADON Educator at our Skilled Nursing Facility. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a Long-Term Care setting and a strong background in both nursing leadership and staff education.

DUTIES:

Assist the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) with management responsibilities and ensure quality of careLead staff education programs and serve as the Infection Control OfficerAssist with compliance and maintain effective communication across all levels of nursing staffAddress the nursing and medical needs of all residentsCoordinate and direct the planning and delivery of nursing servicesEnsure that staff’s skills remain current and up-to-date with nursing standardsMaintain a comprehensive knowledge of general nursing theory and practiceResponsible for the accurate and timely completion of medical recordsAssist with interviewing, hiring, and orienting new nursing staffSupervise nursing staff conduct and ensure adherence to facility policiesProvide ongoing support to RNs, helping them develop and maintain competenciesMaintain flexibility with work schedule to address unpredictable needsAssist in assessing the health needs of each resident and monitor incidents within the facility

REQUIREMENTS:

Current New York RN license requiredMinimum 3 years of experience in Long-Term Care settings2 years of management experience preferred1 year of staff education experience preferredExcellent communication and interpersonal skills requiredEvidence of basic leadership and supervisory skillsFlexible hours requiredInfection Preventionist Certificate required to be obtained within 3-6 months of employment

Compensation: $105,000 - $120,000
