Assistant Directors of the Enactors (2 opportunities) - Racial Justice Institute - Georgetown University

Established in 2021, Georgetown’s Racial Justice Institute (RJI) leverages the collective strength of Georgetown to advance knowledge on racial justice, form the next generation of leaders and advocates and seed breakthrough approaches to lasting change. The Racial Justice Institute is an interdisciplinary research hub led by a community of thought leaders, scholars, and advocates who innovate strategies and solutions to build a more just world for all people to prosper and thrive.

The (RJI) EnActors are comprised of performing arts professionals and educational developers and supported by the Racial Justice Institute, Georgetown College Dean’s Office, the Red House, and the CURA Initiative. The ensemble creates arts-based educational and social interventions. This work spans university settings from audiences of instructors and administrators to students and community hubs, sparking conversation and spreading knowledge.

The ensemble works as “first responders” to critical conversations, developing 20-minute works that dramatize and dissect social, legal, and health disparities crafting scenarios to address the harmful racial inequities in these contexts.
