You will work, in partnership with Iteris engineering staff, with state, regional, and local agencies to deliver a variety of transportation planning and engineering projects to improve our communities. This opportunity is available in our Southwest geography of the Pacific Region and will be required to work on-site in the Phoenix office. What you will be doing: + Perform transportation, traffic, or systems engineering work in the development of traffic signal timing, intelligent transportation systems, active transportation, transportation design and/or operations projects + Develop design plans and specifications; prepare systems engineering analysis, reports and budget estimates, and analyze traffic and transportation operational systems under the direction of senior engineering staff + The position will require coordination with Iteris staff, public agencies, contractors, vendors, and other consultants + Local travel will be required for project-related tasks and client meetings What you need to be successful in this role: + Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) Required, Field of Study: Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Transportation Planning, Electrical Engineering, or related field + 0-3 years of experience in transportation engineering, transportation planning, or related field + Familiar with tools such as Synchro, SimTraffic, VISSIM, GIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc. + Engineer-in-Training (EIT) preferred Iteris anticipates paying between $71,000 and $85,000 for this role.
