The Opportunity:
This position assists the Executive Director in the performance of the daily operations and in the implementation of the Corporate and Community business plan goals. Guided by key performance data metrics, this position helps monitor and support the Community operations inclusive of budgeting, workforce management, maintenance, managing expenses, increasing revenue, occupancy, meeting Accommodation Standards, PIR Standards (elements), and building a high-performance team (housekeeping, maintenance, food services, and administrative) within the communities.
The Assistant Executive Director will assist the Executive Director in accountability for managing AgeCare’s image, profile, and reputation in the community and with appropriate stakeholders.
Within the scope of this position, the Assistant Executive Director plays a key leadership role to provide and ensure an environment that promotes a culture of client safety and exemplary service.
Key Responsibilities:
Employees & Partners: accountable for leadership that ensures and sustains an atmosphere of safe, quality resident and family centered care
Risk Management: ensure the continuity of service is delivered
Contract management monitor vendors to confirm that they provide the level of service that meets AgeCare’s standards
Marketing Resources: ensure the site is promoted in a positive way
Food Services: monitor and evaluate quality and resident satisfaction
Housekeeping & Laundry: monitor service and create expectations
Finance & Accountability: adheres to the AgeCare facility operational plan and annual budget
Metrics: assists in the monitoring and management of the workforce metrics using the appropriate dashboards in UKG, Workday and Surge Learning System
Qualifications
Education and Experience
University Degree in Business Administration or Hospitality Management an asset;
3+ years of leadership experience in a health care environment and in an administrative management capacity directly supervising and/or managing employees. Senior’s retirement Facility experience will be considered an asset but is not required.

Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills
Good working knowledge of computers (Word, Excel and Outlook)
